MY STORY

 

Gabriela Jewellers is owned and operated by Swiss born Jeweller and Gemmologist Alexandra Gabriela Winkler.

In 2001 I left Switzerland for a trip through Australia and ended staying in Hobart, Tasmania where I became a jeweller and gemmologist. I studied at TAFE, Tasmania (Diploma of Art, Craft+ Design in Jewellery making) and later on undertook a 2-year study in Gemmology (Certificate 4 in Gemmology) while gaining experience through working in the high-end jewellery industry selling, designing, making and repairing Jewellery. In 2006, I stepped into self-employment and founded  my own business GABRIELA JEWELLERS.

I returned to Europe for family reasons n 2016 and soon after moved to Nerja on the Costa del Sol in Andalusia, Spain where I am having my shop and are continuing with the same business ever since - selling my creations through the shop and newly ONLINE as well , designing and handmaking unique custom made pieces as much as offering a repair and remodelling service to national and international clientele.
